SALT LAKE CITY, UT - At 10:00 AM, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has released their Division I ranking for the 2nd time this season and Salt Lake, where former Highland Lady Ram Ma'ata Epenisa plays at, is now leading the nation as they are ranked as the #1 team.

Lady Rams Media Relations/Statistical Coordinator Taylor Munroe, currently works within their Athletic Department at SLCC and reports that this is the 1st time in the SLCC Women's Basketball Program history that they are ranked #1. Coaching the Bruins for her 20th season is Betsy Specketer. Specketer is excited about the recognition for the team, the program, and the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC).

Their current record is 10-0 overall, and they will be heading to Southern Idaho this weekend before SWAC starts up the next weekend. "Our ultimate goal is to be #1 in March when the big dance takes place" Specketer states.
